Back from Real life...

Hello, it's been awhile since i've actually written down a full post in this little blog of mine. I've been very busy with school unfortunately, studying as much as I can for 4 tests that I've just completed. I'm proud of myself and satisfied with the results I got. Despite this fact, I know I have work even harder and not rest on my laurels.

A short paragraph my friend showed me and I thought it was very meaningful and I'd like to share it with all of you who are here reading my blog. Nothing gossipy but very enlightening and I think alot of us are guilty of this.

" I discovered that false humility can develop into such a state that one can even think one is truly humble. It can be quite scary. I am a victim of this unknowingly sometimes... Some of us, at some point of our lives, got pointed out that we aren't humble and sincere enough. And some thus try too hard too fast without proper and deep enough mindfulness, to be humble and sincere.
Some thus end up humble and sincere in outer appearance, while the heart remains full of pride. What I meant by mindfulness being not deep enough here is that such a person's mindfulness is only enough to guard his speech and actions to other people.
The mindfulness has not yet penetrated his mind itself! He can be totally humble, yet with only the intention to impress. And this intention to impress feels like a healthy "self-esteem," that is pure pride detrimental to spiritual development. One ends up being dishonest at heart to oneself and the world without knowing."

A Jolt from Java

Your morning cup of coffee might be doing more than perking you up. It might be turning you on. Men and women who have at least one cup of joe a day are nearly twice as likely to describe themselves as sexually active, according to one study. And guys who indulge report fewer problems with erections. Jeanne Shaw, Ph.D., an Atlanta-based certified sex therapist and clinical psychologist, chalks up coffee's erotic potential to the java jolt. "If you feel sluggish and the caffeine wakes you, then you're going to say, 'Oh, I'm horny,' instead of roll over and go to sleep," she explains. Coffee in bed in the mornings is the idea, but practice moderation (with the coffee, that is). Once you move beyond one or two cups a day, caffeine can leave you agitated and edgy.
